John Wood.gifI am a shareholder with Branham & Day. A substantial and growing part of my practice involves representing claimants in ERISA disability matters. I help maintain a blog devoted specifically to ERISA and disability issues.

I also handle personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and commercial cases. I am an active member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, serving as its Treasurer and on its Executive Committee.

I have spoken regularly at legal seminars in Tennessee and other states on ERISA, disability claims and litigation, case management, subrogation, and other topics. I am a co-author of the 2nd edition of the Tennessee Law of Comparative Fault, a legal treatise published by West Group. I am an Associate Editor of the Tennessee Tort Law Letter, a monthly newsletter published by M. Lee Smith Publishers.

After law school, I joined the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., having been hired through the Attorney General's Honor Program. In addition to my law degree from Tulane, I also hold a master of science degree from Georgetown.
